PT. AFM Aviasi Indonesia (AFM) is a ground handling company that is fully certified by Indonesia Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) to operate in any airport across Indonesia archipelago. AFM focuses on handling private aircrafts and is a registered flight permit agent.

In addition to that, AFM is also an IS-BAH accredited ground handling company with multi locations.

AFM started doing business in the end of 2013, as an agent, with main operations being in Halim Perdanakusuma Int’l Airport in Jakarta (WIHH). It was founded by Mr. Wando Suripto, who has been doing worldwide private jet charters since 2005, under a company name called PT. Javajet Asia, also based out of Jakarta. As many charter customers of Javajet Asia ended up buying their own private jets, it was ground handling services that the customers needed. Hence, PT. AFM Aviasi Indonesia (AFM) was set up, employing three staff.

Two years into business, in 2015 AFM obtained its own ground handling certificate and since then it has been operating as a physical ground handler, also in WIHH, employing fifteen staff. Around the same time, AFM Denpasar Bali operations was set up.

In 2019, employing close to seventy people, AFM currently operates out of three major airports in Indonesia, with our own team and resources; Jakarta (Halim), Denpasar Bali and Manado. We have our own offices and ground support equipment. The rest of the locations in Indonesia, we work with our ground handling networks and where necessary, we deploy our team members to make sure the service delivery goes well.

AFM senior management personnel mostly were trained in business aviation and hospitality industries. These backgrounds enrich AFM from both operational as well as service sides, balancing skills and customer relationship.

AFM management also puts attention on both legal and technical aspects in running the operations. Therefore we always make sure that we fulfil all legal and technical requirements; personnel licenses, current trainings, adequate insurance coverage, using internationally accepted and well known ground support equipment, etc. We are committed to having continuous improvement in our organization.
